Lekker Pets Shipping Policy

At Lekker Pets, we strive to get your pet essentials to your doorstep safely. Due to current global maritime shifts and high volumes at South African ports, please review our updated guidelines below.
1. Processing Times
All orders are processed within 1–3 business days. Orders are not processed or shipped on weekends or holidays. You will receive a notification as soon as your order is on its way.
2. Shipping Estimates (Global Conflict Update)
Due to the rerouting of global shipping lanes around the South African coast and significant congestion at Durban and Cape Town ports, we have adjusted our delivery windows to ensure accuracy.
Delivery Time: 14–22 business days.
Note: These timeframes are estimates. While your order is safe, the current "Cape Route" congestion means vessels are experiencing longer-than-usual waiting times to offload. We appreciate your patience as we navigate these global logistics.
3. Shipping Rates
We are committed to keeping pet care affordable for all South Africans.
Standard Shipping: FREE on all orders nationwide.
4. Shipment Confirmation & Order Tracking
You will receive a Shipment Confirmation email containing your tracking number(s) as soon as your order ships. Tracking numbers usually become active within 24–48 hours of dispatch.
5. Customs, Duties, and Taxes
Lekker Pets handles the logistics of getting your items into the country. However, any specific local tariffs or taxes imposed during or after shipping are the responsibility of the customer.
6. Damages & Lost Packages
If your order arrives damaged, please take a photo immediately and contact our support team at support.lekkerpets@gmail.com. We will work with the carrier to resolve the issue or arrange a replacement for you.
7. Incorrect Address Disclaimer
It is the buyer's responsibility to ensure the shipping address is correct. We process orders quickly, so please contact us within 12 hours of placing your order if you need to make a correction.
